Relax. Allow. Let it BE!

It almost sounds oxymoronic to say that “the most important activity of Stage Two is not to do anything. Instead, remain open to new ideas, and do not force judgment, prejudice, preconceptions, or any other form of censorship.”
Incubation isn’t about causing the result. It’s about ensuring that the right elements in the environment— attitude, energy, focus, etc.—are present so that the outcome is ensured.
In other words, incubation is a process of nurturing, of trusting, of expecting, and waiting. It’s not a process of continued list making (pros on the left, cons on the right), spreadsheet manipulating, or resume writing. Often when we fully engage our conscious mind in doing something repetitive, our subconscious mind is set free to explore, to reflect, to begin the process of making unexpected connections.
